“To provide leadership is sustaining
existing and creating new support systems for young
people in Morrison County that lead toward the realization
of our vision for healthy youth.” |

Vision:
“To insure that Morrison County youth grow up
in healthy environments where they:
• Learn
to make positive personal choices,
• Gain the skills and knowledge to succeed
in life,
• Have a variety of opportunities and are
encouraged to serve in their communities. |
|

Recent
Activities:
• Lead
county efforts in building the foundation for more
effective youth-friendly, supportive communities.
• Facilitated a survey and focus groups involving
1000 students from all county schools in spring,
2006.
• Conducted three Youth Summit meetings with
40 high school students in 2006-07.
• Sponsor and coordinate ongoing Youth Leadership
teams in all county school communities.
• “Give Youth a Voice” initiative
supporting recommendations from 2006 Youth Survey.
• Provide a part-time Youth Program Coordinator
to work with and support youth from throughout the
county.
• Facilitate the networking of approximately
75 Youth Development Professionals within Morrison
County.
• Participate in collaborative programs with
the CentraCare Health Foundation in St. Cloud to
increase youth participation in local community
issues. |
